Planning a family vacation to Jackson Hole usually means filling your days with mountain views, wildlife, scenic drives, and plenty of time exploring Grand Teton National Park. But one of the best ways to remember the trip is to step out from behind the phone and get everyone in the photographs together.

This was my second time photographing this sweet family, and this year, grandma and grandpa joined them for their Grand Teton family photos. We met near the Snake River, where the Cathedral Group created the kind of backdrop people picture when they begin planning a vacation in Jackson Hole.

Their evening included plenty of relaxed family portraits, candid laughs, and the little interactions that naturally happen when generations come together. Having grandparents join a family photography session adds even more meaning to the gallery, especially during a trip everyone may have traveled a long way to share.

There are so many things to do in Jackson Hole with kids, from exploring Jenny Lake and looking for wildlife to hiking, horseback riding, and spending time along the river. Scheduling family photos in Grand Teton National Park gives you another experience to enjoy together, while also creating something lasting from your time in the Tetons.

As a Jackson Hole family photographer, getting to work with families more than once is always special. The mountains may be the reason many families visit, but the relationships, personalities, and memories they bring with them are what make every session different.
