Alyssa + Taylor | Elopement in Driggs & Jackson Hole
Alyssa and Taylor’s wedding day began in Driggs, Idaho with the slow, cozy kind of morning every couple hopes for. Hair and makeup filled the condo with quiet excitement, family gathered close, and mimosas were poured as everyone eased into the day. The atmosphere was soft and peaceful, the perfect way to step into a wedding meant to be thoughtful, intimate, and rooted in presence. While Alyssa spent the morning surrounded by her people, Taylor got ready in a separate condo nearby. Before meeting for their first look, she surprised him with a meaningful, personal gift meant for his eyes only, setting the tone for a day full of intention and connection.
We made our way into Grand Teton National Park and hiked together to Taggart Lake, where the mountains greeted us with crisp fall air and the kind of golden light that only happens this time of year. The trail was lined with autumn color, and the hike in gave everyone space to breathe deeply, take it all in, and settle into the beauty of the Tetons. Wildlife felt especially active that afternoon. Chipmunks darted along the trail, and we caught glimpses of moose moving quietly through the trees, a rare and special moment for their guests to experience on a wedding day.
Their ceremony took place on the quiet edge of Taggart Lake with serene, glasslike water and the mountains standing tall behind them. A close friend officiated, adding warmth, familiarity, and a few emotional pauses as happy tears came and went. With about fifteen to twenty of their closest friends and family present, the ceremony felt like a gentle circle of support. No rush, no noise, just the steady sounds of the lake and the overwhelming presence of the Tetons.
After the vows, we explored the shoreline and nearby viewpoints, capturing their joy against sweeping fall colors and the dramatic landscape around us. Alyssa and Taylor were joyful, rooted, and fully present the entire time, soaking in every part of the day they had intentionally crafted. From the slow morning in Driggs to the mountain hike and heartfelt ceremony, their wedding was a beautiful blend of adventure, intimacy, and the kind of love that is easy to photograph because it is lived so fully.
A Taggart Lake wedding is always breathtaking, but theirs felt especially meaningful. It was the kind of day that reminds you why the Tetons draw couples in again and again: quiet beauty, deep connection, and moments that feel both grounding and unforgettable.
