The Date + Location Guide lists each session in local Mountain Time. The scheduler displays that same session in the time zone currently set on your device. For example, a session listed at 5:00 PM Mountain Time will appear as 7:00 PM if you are viewing the scheduler in Eastern Time.

The calendars show live availability. If a date appears in the Date + Location Guide but is no longer available in the scheduler, that session has been booked.

Letter Sessions include 30 minutes of photography for up to five people at the predetermined location connected to the appointment. You’ll receive a private online gallery and choose 20 images to download as web-sized digital files.

You’ll also receive our portrait and styling guide, access to the online styling service, professional editing, and access to the Dear June print store.

Letter Sessions generally work best for families with children around five and older. Thirty minutes moves quickly and requires a little more direction and cooperation than one of our longer sessions.

Some younger children do beautifully with a short, fast-moving session. Others need more time to warm up, explore, take breaks, or recover when something does not go as planned. You know your children best. If they usually need more time and flexibility, a Memoir or Narrative Session will probably be a better fit.

Yes. Letter Sessions work well for couples who want a focused set of meaningful photographs together without needing a longer experience.

If you want more time to explore, multiple settings, or something that feels more like an adventure together, one of our longer sessions will give us more room.

Sometimes. A Letter Session can work well for a senior who wants a simple, focused set of photographs and does not want a long photography experience.

If you want multiple outfits, several locations, activities, or a wider variety of photographs, a Memoir or Narrative Session will be a better fit.

No. Every Letter Session is released with a predetermined date, time, photographer, and location. Those details are connected to that specific opening and cannot be changed.

Memoir, Narrative, and Story Sessions are booked by inquiry. Send us the dates you are considering, and we’ll let you know whether we are available or what we have open nearby.

Your session is booked as soon as you complete the Session Confirmation and submit the $300 deposit. The appointment will then be removed from availability.

Your photography agreement, questionnaire, preparation guide, and styling information will be sent after booking.

No. The $300 deposit is non-refundable. Submitting it reserves the appointment you selected and removes that opening from availability.

Weather changes quickly here, so we try not to make decisions too far in advance. Clouds, wind, or a chance of rain do not always mean that a session needs to be moved.

We’ll keep an eye on the conditions and stay in touch if the forecast becomes concerning. If the weather makes it unreasonable or unsafe to photograph, we’ll do our best to find another available opening. Because Letter Sessions are released only when our existing schedule allows, rescheduling options may be limited.

Reach out as soon as you know there may be a problem. We’ll do our best to find another available Letter Session opening, but another date, photographer, or location cannot be guaranteed.

The $300 booking deposit remains non-refundable.

Physical prints are not included with the Letter Session. You can order professional prints, wall art, albums, and other products directly through the Dear June gallery store.

Your collection includes 20 web-sized digital downloads. If you would like to print through a lab of your choice, you’ll need the Print-Ready Digital Collection or Archival USB upgrade, which includes full-resolution files and a personal print release.
