Kayla Beard

I’ve spent the last thirteen years photographing families, couples, weddings, and commercial projects throughout Idaho, Wyoming, and the mountain towns in between. My work is rooted in honest storytelling and shaped by an editorial eye, blending natural moments with thoughtful composition. I’m drawn to the quiet glances, the movement, and the moments you don’t realize matter until later.

The people I work with desire an experience that feels calm and intentional, not rushed or overly posed. Whether you’re visiting Jackson Hole for a family trip, planning a wedding in the Tetons, or documenting a meaningful season close to home, my approach centers on connection, ease, and creating space for real moments to unfold.

As a wife and mom, I understand how quickly seasons pass and how meaningful it is to preserve them with care. I guide when it’s helpful, step back when it matters, and focus on imagery that reflects not just how things looked, but how they felt.

Today, I lead a creative team serving families, couples, seniors, and brands throughout the region. While I continue to photograph select sessions and weddings personally, our team works together with a shared vision and consistent approach, ensuring a seamless and thoughtfully designed experience from start to finish.

Alongside my photography work, I also mentor and coach photographers building sustainable, meaningful businesses, a perspective that informs how our studio operates with intention, clarity, and care. In addition to photography, I’m a licensed real estate agent, which has shaped how I approach space, light, and visual storytelling for homes and brands.

If you’re looking for imagery that feels natural, personal, and lasting, and an experience that feels considered from beginning to end, you’re in the right place.

Joy

A scenic view of snow-capped mountains reflecting in a river at sunset, with a partly cloudy sky.

Joy brings a calm, intentional presence to every session she photographs. Based in Wyoming with her husband, Brandon, her extra awesome brother Stephen, and their Doberman, Cairo (the baby of the family), she’s a down-to-earth creative with a knack for capturing the kind of moments you don’t want to forget—easy, genuine, and full of connection.

A former birth photographer in Louisiana, Joy has spent years documenting life’s most sacred beginnings. She also has a background in creative marketing and branding, which shows in how thoughtfully she approaches every shoot; balancing heart and artistry with a trained eye for detail.

She’s a night owl at heart and fully embraces slow mornings (preferably with a perfect cup of coffee made by her in-house barista—aka her husband).

When she’s not behind the lens, you’ll likely find her spending time with family, hiking one of her favorite trails, or tending to her cozy small-town shop.

Clients always say Joy makes it feel less like a photo shoot and more like hanging out with a friend, which is her favorite kind of session, because that’s when the real magic shows up.
